Alex, before joining the ranks of the pack, was a very likable young man, living with his family in a small apartment in New York. Growing up, he led a happy life with siblings he was close to and loving parents. Within school, he was popular with both genders, being his delightful self. With an athletic build and healthy desire to compete, he found his place among other students who were also into sports. His looks - ruffled, yet charming medium champagne hair and intent green eyes, carefully placed under a set brow, the shifter was popular among the ladies.
Though he neglected to get straight A's, he passed most of his classes, scoring just the marks to get by. His main plans for when he grew up were simply to indulge in becoming an athlete, for sports were things that he'd taken interest to since the young age of six. Upon getting into middle school, he quickly began to partake in a handful of different activities - soccer, basketball, and cross country being his favorites. If anyone could say anything about him back then, he was competitive. A little short and underweight, but quite the opponent with thanks to his training and father's encouragement.
Five years later, he was a sophomore in high school. His growth spurt had hit, and he'd found himself with a new group of close friends. Unfortunately, they weren't necessarily good influences. With them, Alex developed an addiction to drugs. Meth, to be exact. Thanks to the freedom he had, his habits went unnoticed for quite some time. When he began to neglect both his athletics and schoolwork, people began to suspect that something was up. Though he was warned to stop, he was only truly motivated to change after one of his friends died in a car crash after a night of drinking at a party. The duo had constantly spoken of dropping their habits before; in an attempt to fulfil their wishes, Alex went into counseling.
He found help with his counsellor and girlfriend and, in less than a year, he was off the substances completely. He returned to sports and managed to make a full recovery; he even had plans to start campaigning for helping teens with drug abuse. However, troubles struck once more at the age of seventeen. He and his siblings were pulled briskly out of school, for their parents had been gravely injured in a disaster back at their office building. After their teary goodbyes had been made, the trio packed their bags and were shipped off to join their uncle in the town of Twin Peaks.
It was a tough journey for him, yes, but he takes pride in the fact that he pulled through. Optimism is practically his middle name: his happiness is something that can spread like wildfire. The spark, the lopsided grin that graces his square face. A true ESTP, really. Each of his challenges are handled with a determined demeanor rather than one broken into shards, for rarely does he allow any weakness to be revealed. Nor does he submit to the fact that he has been hurt, for within him dwells the fighting spirit of a wolf.
However, he's been noted to be controlling and somewhat emotionally abusive when things don't go his way. He fully trusts his judgement, and, to be honest, can be quite bigoted. No man is without fault, as they say. For these reasons, Alex eventually broke up with his girlfriend - their relationship already spoiled through troubles that popped up. Being a long-distance one added to it as well, and they merely could no longer see eye to eye regarding how it should be handle. The young man was a stubborn being, one had to admit; fact is, that's still the case.
